PE Days

Our class PE days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please send your child to school wearing their PE kit on these days. Thank you. 

Welcome to Lion Class! 

All About Year 6

In Lion Class we have 32 amazing children and our lovely teacher Mrs Gatt. We are also very lucky to be supported by the wonderful Mrs Brown, who helps keep us organised and makes sure that we understand all of our work. In Year 6 we are really committed to our learning and being the absolute best that we can be. We spend a lot of time developing our Sunny Six skills through exciting and engaging topics and activities. It is also a very important year for us as we prepare to make our move to Secondary School and to take our SATs tests.

Although our learning is extremely important we also like to have lots of fun and we love working together as a team! In our class you have to be prepared to work really hard as the work can be very challenging but we love the sense of achievement we feel when we solve a really tricky problem.

Reading Books

We ask that you sign their planners to let us know if they have finished the book or what page they have read up to. We are keen to develop fluency so we like to encourage children to re-read their books before changing them. We ask that children read at least three times a week at home. All children have access to a reading for pleasure book alongside their banded reading book.
