Welcome to Foundation Stage 1 – Daisies Class!
Our class teacher is supported by Mrs Woolley, our nursery nurse, and our wonderful teaching assistants, Mrs White and Mrs Franklin.
In Nursery, we encourage every child to be curious, enthusiastic and excited to learn. Our stimulating environment offers a wide range of rich, playful and imaginative experiences, carefully planned to support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS. Each half term, our learning is based around an engaging, child-centred topic that reflects the children’s interests and helps them develop new knowledge and skills.
Keeping You Updated
We believe that working closely with families is an important part of every child’s learning and development. Please sign up to ClassDojo, where we share regular updates, important information and photographs of the children enjoying their learning.
Families are warmly invited into the classroom each morning to take part in a short morning challenge with their child. You will also be able to see your child’s work and celebrate their learning journey through their individual display.
We love hearing about the special things children achieve and enjoy outside Nursery. Our “Wow Moments” give families the opportunity to share these experiences with us so that we can celebrate them together.
Home Learning
At the beginning of each half term, we will send home a topic web explaining what the children will be learning. This will also include simple and enjoyable ideas for activities you can try together at home.
Sharing stories is one of the most valuable ways to support your child’s learning, language and imagination, so we encourage you to read together as often as possible. Most importantly, enjoy this special time together!
