Miss Brownson

Welcome to Foundation Stage 2

Hello and welcome to Buttercups. My name is Miss Brownson and I will be your class teacher.  I am also the EYFS lead and SENCO here at Sunnyfields. Our children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities will also be supported in class by many wonderful teaching assistants including Miss Preston, Mrs Plumridge, Miss Gardener, Mrs Oldfield and Mrs Burn.

Essential Information

We ask that children come to school everyday with weather appropriate clothing as we spend as much time outdoors as possible. We will also be frequently visiting our woodland area.  Please send your child to school with a pair of wellies to change into, you can leave them in a bag on their peg or on our welly rack outside our classroom. If possible, you could also send your child to school with wetproof/mudproof overalls during the colder months.

Please send your child to school with a water bottle everyday. We have snack time everyday where we offer a variety of fruit and vegetables to everyone in class. Children are more than welcome to bring their own snack from home but it must be fruit or vegetables. Please do not send nuts or snacks containing nuts for the safety of our children.

Children need to come to school with their bookbag and planner everyday. Children will now be bringing home their own reading book, please sign their planner to say when they have read at home. Children will need to read every day at home.

Our PE day changes half termly depending on days that we have specialist coaches in. I will always communicate this with you at the start of a half term. We ask that children come to school in their PE kit on these days. Your child's PE kit should be a plain white t-shirt, black/navy leggings or joggers and a plan navy/black hoodie or sweatshirt. Children are welcome to wear shorts during the warmer weather.
