Volunteering at Sunnyfields

What you need to know if you are thinking about volunteering:

  • Volunteers can not be placed in a class that their child or relative are in
  • As part of our Safer Recruitment process we need to carry out a DBS check and be provided with 2 references

We have the following volunteering opportunities starting in September 2023:

Meerkats (Nursery) - Volunteers would be working with the children and supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Zebra Class (FS2) - Volunteers would be working with the children and supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Crocodile Class (FS2/YR1) - Volunteers would be working with the children and supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Puma Class (YR2) - Volunteers would be listening to the children with reading, helping them practice their spellings and times tables and supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Leopard Class (YR3) - Volunteers would be listening to the children read and supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Panther Class (YR4/5) - Volunteers would be listening to children read and help children practice their spellings as well as supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

Lion Class (YR6) - Volunteers would be listening to children read and help children practice their spellings as well as supporting the teacher by carrying out general classroom duties.

If you are interested in volunteering in any of the classes listed above, please complete an application form and send it to: volunteer@sunnyfields.doncaster.sch.uk

Please also let us know what days and times you would be available. There is no expectation to do full time, we would appreciate any days/times that people are available.
